Equality Project is
a consumer, employee and investor advocacy coalition
working to support and monitor workplace awareness
and adoption of the progressive policies expressed
in the Equality Principles as supported by the following
leading LGBT organizations:
Funders for Lesbian
and Gay Issues, Inc. (FLGI) works to increase philanthropic
resources to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender
organizations, programs and projects. We accomplish
this mission through: Increasing the philanthropic
communities' knowledge, understanding and support
of critical funding needs in LGBT communities; educating
individuals and organizations about philanthropy and
how to access philanthropic resources for LGBT issues;
encouraging increased visible representation of LGBT
people within the foundation community at the staff
and trustee levels; Supporting the development and
capacity of LGBT-identified foundations and promoting
the growth of this sector within the field of philanthropy.
Gay & Lesbian Alliance
Against Defamation (GLAAD) is dedicated to promoting
and ensuring fair, accurate and inclusive representation
of people and events in the media as a means of eliminating
homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity
and sexual orientation.
Gay and Lesbian Medical
Association (GLMA) has worked for twenty years to
maximize the quality of health services for lesbian,
gay, bisexual, and transgender people and to foster
a professional climate in which our diverse members
can reach their full potential.
Gender Public Advocacy
Coalition (GenderPAC) works to end discrimination
and caused by gender stereotypes by changing public
attitudes, educating elected officials and expanding
legal rights. GenderPAC also promotes understanding
of the connection between discrimination based on
gender stereotypes and sex, sexual orientation, age,
race, class.
Human Rights Campaign
(HRC) & HRC Foundation Corporate Equality Index
As America's largest gay and lesbian organization,
the Human Rights Campaign provides a national voice
on gay and lesbian issues. The Human Rights Campaign
effectively lobbies Congress; mobilizes grassroots
action in diverse communities; invests strategically
to elect a fair-minded Congress; and increases public
understanding through innovative education and communication
strategies. HRC is a bipartisan organization that
works to advance equality based on sexual orientation
and gender expression and identity, to ensure that
gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Americans can
be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the
community.
International Gay and
Lesbian Human Rights Commission1s (IGLHRC) mission
is to secure the full enjoyment of the human rights
of all people and communities subject to discrimination
or abuse on the basis of sexual orientation or expression,
gender identity or expression, and/or HIV status.
A US-based non-profit, non-governmental organization
(NGO), IGLHRC effects this mission through advocacy,
documentation, coalition building, public education,
and technical assistance.
Lambda Legal is a national
organization committed to achieving full recognition
of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals,
the transgendered, and people with HIV or AIDS through
impact litigation, education and public policy work.
National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC)
is committed to forming a broad-based coalition, representative
of the various interests of GLBT owned and friendly
businesses, professionals, and students of business
for the purpose of promoting economic growth and prosperity
of its members. As a national umbrella organization,
the NGLCC is a clearinghouse of ideas and information
for and between businesses and organizations. The
NGLCC works with state and local chambers and business
groups on various issues. Most importantly, the NGLCC
is the premier advocate on behalf of GLBT owned businesses,
professionals, students of business, and corporations
that share in our desire to expand the community's
financial opportunities, economic growth, continued
innovation, and equality.
National Gay Lesbian
Task Force (NGLTF) is the national progressive organization
working for the civil rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual
and transgender people, with the vision and commitment
to building a powerful political movement. NGLTF believes
a strong GLBT movement demands the empowerment of
community leaders at the local level. We're building
a social justice movement that unites ideas with action.
We organize activists. We train leaders. We equip
organizers. We mobilize voters. We build coalitions.
We teach-and learn from-today's vibrant GLBT youth
movement. We're proud of our commitment to the linkages

National Lesbian &
Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) is an organization
of journalists, online media professionals, and students
that works from within the journalism industry to
foster fair and accurate coverage of lesbian, gay,
bisexual and transgender issues. NLGJA opposes workplace
bias against all minorities and provides professional
development for its members.
Out & Equal Workplace
Advocates (O&E) champions safe and equitable workplaces
for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people.
We advocate building and strengthening successful
organizations that value all employees, customers
and communities.
Pride At Work is a constituency
group (community or identity group) affiliated with
the American Federation of Labor - Congress of Industrial
Organizations (AFL-CIO). Pride At Work is committed
to mobilizing mutual support between the organized
Labor Movement and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and
Transgender (LGBT) communities around organizing for
social, racial, and economic justice.
